The Hershey Fall Meet & car show is held in October at Hershey Pennsylvania and is hosted by the Eastern division of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA).
The very first event was in 1955 and it has gotten bigger and better each year, the location is next to the world famous "Hershey Chocolate Company" at the Hersheypark & Giant Centre. The Fall Meet runs for 4 days with the car show on Saturday. There are over 9000 flea market pitches, over 1000 car corral spaces (cars for sale) and a mind blowing 1300 show cars!! Easily the largest event of its kind in the world (only in America). Comfy shoes a must.
This great set of photos of the 2012 Hershey Fall Meet come from Cliff Marsh. They’re best viewed Full Screen to see the real detail Cliff’s captured in these super cars.
You’ll notice that the 1937 Railton (photo 27) has British plates.
The present owner told Cliff that it left the Railton factory as a "rolling chassis" and was then sent over to the UK to an English body builder before being returned to it’s owner in the States.
For the 2012 Hershey it had just had a full body-off restoration and looks terrific.
Just for fun Cliff’s used his photo skills to produce an "Americanized" version. With a repainted body, 1932 Packard wheels & tyres and a new background - so which would you chose?
