We are delighted and proud to be able to announce that the club has been invited to hold the Rally of the Giants in the grounds of Blenheim Palace, one of Britains’ most spectacular stately homes and a World Heritage site.
Blenheim Palace is a great place for families, with its gardens, a miniature railway, excellent cafés and restaurants and of course the palace itself to visit.
For those who want to make the most of a great weekend in the glorious surroundings of this fabulous location, we have secured camping on site from Friday afternoon to Monday morning at a cost of £20 per tent or caravan/rv. Everything is just a short walk from the charming village of Woodstock with its many pubs, restaurants and hotels to suit all tastes and budgets.
If you want to stay at a hotel, we have a number of rooms held at a couple of excellent ones local to Blenheim.
The Heythrop Park Hotel has an agreed rate for the Saturday night (Shrewsbury Twin or Double: £40 per half twin and £25 single supplement. Archer Double room : £32 per half twin and £25 single supplement). Heythrop is a superb modern hotel about eight miles north of Blenheim Place on the A44. Don’t forget to quote the Rally of the Giants (RTG) when you book, and check the Heythrop Park Hotel website for all the hotel details.
The Holt Hotel is offering very special accommodation rates on Friday 27, Saturday 28, Sunday 29 July 2012 (standard double/twin room (two people): from £70.80 executive single: from £58.80 family room, sleeps four persons: from £111.60 Room. Quality is the benchmark of the RoG, so expect to see the best examples of every famous American marque, from Auburns to Pierce Arrows, Buicks, Cadillacs, Chevrolets, Dodge, Dusenberg, Edsels,Fords, Grahams, Hudsons, Internationals – the A to Z of Classic American cars.
